~ Hannah and Maia ~
Over a year ago, Maia found her forever family when she and Hannah first met. Since then, they have formed a very special bond and have changed each other’s lives for the better.
One day in 2021, Hannah saw a photo online of a Siberian Husky, named Suki, who was looking for a home. Immediately, she wanted to meet this pup and decided to arrange a visit. As soon as she arrived, Hannah was in love and adopted the doggo that same day and renamed her Maia.
At the start of 2022, Hannah broke her coccyx. She was in agony and wasn’t able to do much due to the pain and discomfort. However, the same night she broke it, Maia slept with her head on Hannah’s stomach. Normally, Maia loves to jump up and interact with her human, but to Hannah, this showed how much her canine companion cared about and loved her.
Since adopting Maia, Hannah’s life has changed hugely. She reminds her human about all the good things – great and small – in life and to slow down and appreciate them. Each morning, Maia gets Hannah out of bed for breakfast and lots of cuddles. No matter what, every day is just a bit brighter because Maia’s there by her human’s side.
Something that Hannah and Maia enjoy is going for walks together. Hannah loves letting her furry friend off-leash to have a run around, and have the occasional zoomies, at their local dog-friendly park. Seeing Maia’s pure excitement and happiness never fails to brighten her day and bring a smile to her face.
Not only has Maia impacted Hannah, but also her family. Everyone adores her and Hannah’s mum often sneaks mini portions of food whenever she sees a snuffling nose from under the table. Maia has truly become part of the family.
It’s evident how much Hannah and Maia care for one another. They both make sure they’re reminded every day just how much they love each other.
