Some years ago, Emily welcomed Pablo into her life. Since then, they have changed each other’s lives for the better and have brought endless joy and unconditional love into every single day.

Emily has always been passionate about animals. When she was contacted by a rescue in Romania about two kittens, she jumped at the chance to adopt them. Both of the kittens had been diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia. As she lives in the UK, Emily had only seen photos and been told about their personalities, however, she couldn’t say no to their sweet little faces! 

Before long, the kittens, Bones and Pablo, were on a plane to start their journey towards their new forever home. When they arrived, Emily recalls the, being a bit stinky from their trip, but were very affectionate and very thankful to now have their own family. They were perfect for her. 

Wanting to share these kittens with the world, Emily decided to start an Instagram account to share their adventures. They gained many new friends through their page, people – and cats – followed their daily lives and wanted to learn more. Sadly, however, Bones unexpectedly passed away in 2020. Emily and Pablo were heartbroken at this sudden loss. But thankfully, they had each other to lean on for love and support.

Having Pablo has changed Emily’s life hugely. As she adopted him just before the Covid-19 pandemic, he kept her company. Pablo will always be right there by her side. He became like a colleague to her – one who would often nap while working! No matter what, he can always bring a smile to his human’s face. 

Not only has Pablo impacted Emily, but also so many others within their community and through social media. By simply being himself, Pablo is an amazing spokescat for other animals with disabilities. He shows others that having a disability doesn’t stop him from living his best life. People have reached out to Emily for advice and, with the help of her feline friend, has even inspired others to adopt a furbaby with a disability. 

The impact that Emily and Pablo have had on one another has been huge. Every day, they bring endless joy and unconditional love into each other’s lives. 

Ashlee, Nate and Pablo — October 21, 2022

Ashlee, Nate and Pablo

~ Ashlee, Nate and Pablo ~

Just over two years ago, Pablo found his forever home with Ashlee and Nate. In the time since then, they have all formed a very special bond and Pablo has brought so much happiness to his family. 

Ashlee had been wanting a dog for as long as she can remember. She and Nate decided to look into finding the right one for them. Before long, they found someone who had a litter of Dachshund puppies. It wasn’t the best timing for them, but once they met the pup, they knew he was perfect. They instantly adopted him and named him Pablo. 

Not long after adopting Pablo, Ashlee and Nate realised that he was actually a Miniature Dachshund! He had been growing fairly quickly, but at 15 weeks old, he was fairly small and at seven months old, he was fully grown. 

Having Pablo has had a big impact on Ashlee and Nate. They often travel for work, so having a bubbly canine companion has helped them a lot. He keeps them company and can always brighten their day. Not only has Pablo helped Ashlee and Nate, but also their family. Through challenges, he has brought joy and laughter to help them get through it. 

Initially, when Ashlee and Nate adopted Pablo, they were told that Dachshunds can be difficult to train. However, through a lot of time and patience, Pablo has learnt a lot and shown that he is always willing to learn. He has learnt good manners, obedience and discipline. Both Ashlee and Nate are very proud of him and how far he has come with his training!

Something that Ashlee, Nate and Pablo love to do together is explore. Whether exploring a new park or going on a car trip, Pablo loves to go on adventures with them and simply spend time together. 

The bond that Ashlee, Nate and Pablo have all formed is so special. They see him as their son. They have so much love for him and he brings them so much happiness. He helps complete their family and bring them closer together. 

Lucy, Pablo and Kalvin — July 20, 2022

Lucy, Pablo and Kalvin

~ Lucy, Pablo and Kalvin ~

Two years ago, Lucy welcomed Pablo and Kalvin into her life. Since then, they have all been through so much together but have also achieved so much together. 

At the beginning of 2020, Lucy met Kalvin, a 10-day-old goat kid. As soon as she held Kalvin, she cried at how small and soft he was. It was definitely love at first sight. Without a doubt in her mind, Lucy adopted him then and there. Then, not long after that, she wanted to adopt a friend for Kalvin, and so, Pablo was welcomed into their family. 

Within the last two years, Lucy has faced some challenges. From a break-up to moving to somewhere new for work. It was difficult for her to go through so much change. However, Pablo and Kalvin were a bit of light during those dark times. They were Lucy’s rock through everything and gave her a reason to get out of bed every day and never fail to bring a smile to her face. 

Something that Lucy, Pablo and Kalvin enjoy doing is simply spending time together. From eating ice lollies or watermelon to being active, like jumping on a trampoline or going for a walk. Being able to spend time with each other means a lot to them and being able to snuggle up together after a long day is just the best. 

To Lucy, Pablo and Kalvin are like her children. They mean the absolute world to her and they all share so much love and happiness. Pablo and Kalvin’s antics, such as sneaking sips from Lucy’s coffee when she’s not looking, never fail to brighten her day.
